In this time of troubled waters, there is one aspect of my life that couldn't be better: music.
I have had the possibility to play music at my flat with awesome musicians who-- what's more important--are also awesome human beings. In those meetings I've evolved and learned a lot, about music and about myself, about joy and fear, and about sharing.
A while ago I got in contact with a singer who wanted English lessons. She has been my student since then. She's a singer too and sings beautifully. I went to see her at a jam two weeks ago and last week I dared to play a couple of themes. The experience was full of joy and excitement, thrilling, and I could try that special taste that playing with other musicians has; having loved it, now I want more. Ha.
The following day I was contacted by a pop/rock group who needs a drummer and I'm going to a rehearsal this Sunday to see if I'm good enough for them and they accept me as their drummer; I really hope that will work out, because I want to have the chance to play and play and get better experience. Also, I really like their songs!
Yesterday I went to that same jam again but I felt I played really bad. I had been practising those 2 songs I had played before and was quite confident to play them again BUT musicians were not the same and they decided to play a 3rd one I had never paid attention to before. So, I was afraid and the musical result was not too good. However, the lesson was excellent. Also, today I received an excellent advice from my student regarding the approach to the music, which I'm looking forwards to put into practice soon.
So, life has become interesting lately and I am having more fun than I ever did. When I wake up in the morning, I really jump out of bed already thriving in anticipation for what is coming... and that is extraordinary.
Much love to all of you. Let's all of us go after our passions and have much fun in the way! As that famous sentence says: "Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling."

Patricia - that's awesome that you are experiencing so much joy with your music, and that you are learning so much. I am so happy for you! :)
Aaron, WHAT a BEAUTIFUL surprise to receive your comment!
Thanks for getting happy with me about all this. It means the world to me.
Music is one more form of language and communication and, as in any other, there's tons of things to learn. Coincidentally, just as in conversation, LISTENING to the other musicians is the most important part. Does that ring you any bell? Do you remember all those posts and comments on the importance of listening when having a conversation?
The basics are the basics, always! And there's growth and growth waiting for us, as long as we are decided to take the chance.
Thanks for your visit! I hope all is well with you.
