Apaciguando mi sed de libertad - Appeasing my Thirst for Freedom

Mañana será mi día 10 de trabajadora independiente.
Tomar la decisión de dejar mi trabajo seguro por un signo de interrogación no fue algo sencillo, aunque sin dudas yo tengo un chip extra de desapego y de arrojo (al vacío). Hasta hace 10 días trabajaba de secretaria haciendo tareas que se volvieron rutinarias y nada desafiantes. Y bueno, decidí que era hora de jugármela y hacer mi camino propio.

Aquí está más o menos el diagrama de fechas y momentos clave en el cambio:

19/06/2008 - Registro en mi cuaderno de objetivos: "Encuentro la manera de generarme los ingresos haciendo lo que me gusta".

25/06/2008 - Mando mail a mis contactos diciendo que me voy a tirar al agua y me voy a ganar la vida haciendo lo que me gusta.

26/06/2008 - Recibo muchas respuestas positivas que me dan ánimo y posibilidades de ingresos.

27/06/2008 - Recibo mi primer trabajo de edición freelance. El primero de varios.

26/07/2008 - Retomo las clases de inglés con mi primera alumna.

06/08/2008 - Le aviso a mi ahora ex jefa que renunciaría el 31 de agosto.

31/08/2008 - Último día de trabajo.

De esto se trata cuando se habla de "ser un creador consciente del destino propio", ¿verdad?

Estoy super contenta y por eso lo comparto aquí.
Es cuestión de decidirse y salirse de la zona de comodidad, por voluntad propia.
Si este cambio pudo ser hecho en dos meses y medio, me emociona imaginarme en qué tiempo corto podemos cambiar cosas más pequeñas y no por eso menos importantes.

Appeasing my Thirst for Freedom

Tomorrow will be my day number 10 as a freelance worker. Taking the decision of leaving my secure job for a big question mark was not something simple, though there's no doubt that I came with an extra chip of detachment and fearlessness. Until 10 days ago I worked as a secretary doing tasks that became routinary and unchallenging. Well, I decided it was time to take the plunge and make my own way.

Here is more or less the schedule of key moments in the process of change:

June 19, 2008 - I write down on my intents notebook: "I find the way to earn my income doing what I like."

June 25, 2008 - I send an e-mail to my contacts telling them I'm taking the plunge and I'll earn my living doing what I like.

June 26, 2008 - I receive many positive answers which cheer me up and give me hints of possible income sources.

June 27, 2008 - I receive my first freelance editing assignment. The first of many.

July 26, 2008 - I start teaching English again, to my first student.

August 06, 2008 - I tell my now ex boss that I'd quit on Aug. 31st.

August 31, 2008 - Last day at my now ex job.

This is to be a deliberate creator, isn't it?

I'm super happy and that's why I'm sharing it here.
It's a matter of deciding and getting out of the comfort zone, by choice.
if this change could be done in two and a half months, it thrills me to imagine in what a short time we can change smaller things, not necessarily less important.
